Sunderland Countryside Rangers is an affiliate

of the registered charity British Trust for Conservationist Volunteers. Identification No. 51600.

We have been in existence for more than 21 years, appearing on the 6th April 1987 and we still have one of our original founder members.

We can attend any show and will do demonstrations of traditional woodturning (bodging), which is an ancient craft.

This traditional craft can be traced back nearly 3000 years to the ancient Egyptians but we tend to concentrate on the period around 1600's.

We can make a variety of turned items and should you wish to purchase any you would be most welcome and you can also "have a go" if you wish.

These demonstrations are done in the costume of the times (15th Century).
