Sunderland Countryside Rangers is an affiliate of the registered charity British Trust for Conservationist Volunteers. Identification No. 51600.
We have been in existence for over 25 years, appearing on the 6th April 1987 and we still have one of our original founder members.

We are a small group of enthusiastic people undertaking safe leadership walks in and around the Sunderland area (also willing to go further afield).

Look out for walks, they will be published in the 'Seasons Counyside Newsletter, available online at the Sunderland Council website and also on this site.

We are also famous for our demonstrations of traditional woodturning (bodging), an ancient craft going back 100's of years. These demonstrations are performed in the costume of the times (15th century).
